Brian has been the General Manager of Reflex Photonics since 2008. Over that period of time, he transformed the company from a start-up to a qualified vendor of military-grade components. His vast experience in manufacturing of high reliability products is key to Reflex Photonics success.
Founder, V.P., and CTO
Prior to co-founding Reflex Photonics in 2002, Dr. David R. Rolston worked at FCI-Areva for 2 years as senior photonics scientist where he helped commission one of three global R&D research centers in the field of optics and photonics.
His secondary fields of interest involve the design, testing, and packaging of VLSI ASICs for high-speed optoelectronic systems. His current responsibilities include the design and testing of optical and optomechanical design assemblies for optical transceivers and hybrid optical IC packaging concepts for chip-to-chip optical interconnections. Dr. Rolston has published numerous papers and holds several US and international patents and patents pending.
Dr. David R. Rolston received B.Eng., M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees all in electrical and computer engineering from McGill University, Canada.
V.P. Business Development
Gerald Persaud is responsible for overseeing global marketing, business development and customer initiatives related to the Reflex Photonic's product lines, as well as managing product development and customer technical support.
Gerald holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at McMaster University.
Jocelyn joined Reflex Photonics in 2015 where he is now leading the engineering group. He is using his vast technical and managerial experience of more than 20 years in the fields of optoelectronics and guided-wave optics to ensure the development of high-reliability optical fiber transceiver products that are compatible with volume production.
Jocelyn obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Laval University in 1994, specializing in fiber optics components. He graduated in Engineering Physics in 1991. He holds 14 US invention patents and has published more than 75 scientific papers along his career.
