Reflex Photonics embedded transceivers are chip-sized components based on 850 nm VCSEL and offering bandwidth up to 300 Gbps for short reach applications (<300 m). These transceivers can be soldered or socketed to a printed circuit board and are well suited for small, compact systems requiring high I/O density, low power, and small space. Many of these transceivers have been qualified to operate in harsh environments, such as the ones found in aerospace and defense applications.

The LightABLE LH Series includes a 12 channel transmitter, a 12 channel receiver, and a 4 channel transceiver. They operate at 10 Gbps/channel in commercial, extended and industrial operating temperatures. These components can be mounted directly on a high-speed printed circuit board via surface mount technology or via a MEG-array connector.

LightABLE LM series with microcontroler

The LightABLE LM Series are similar to the LH series with the added benefit of an integrated microcontroller. These microcontroller transceivers are “plug and play” and need configuration to operate. The LM series includes a 12 channel transmitter, a 12 channel receiver, and a 4 channel transceiver. They operate at 10 Gbps/channel and are available in commercial, extended, and industrial operating temperatures. These components can be mounted directly on a high-speed printed circuit board via surface mount technology or via a MEG-array connector.

LightABLE LA series

The LightABLE LA series are the first generation LightABLE and not recommended for new designs. The series includes a 12 channel transmitter and a 12 channel receiver, both are plug and play. They operate at 10 Gbps/channel and available only in commercial operating temperature. The optical engines can be mounted directly on a high-speed printed circuit board via surface mount technology or via a MEG-array connector.

The LightABLE LF series transceiver is ideal for applications requiring the highest port densities. They can be placed as a surface-mount component anywhere in a board design but are uniquely targeted for densely populated I/O around and close to large main processing or switching chips to help reduce power consumption while increasing data-rates per port.
The LightABLE LF28G SR 12+12 transceiver is the world’s smallest, integrated board-mounted optical engine. The module has 12 optical transmitters and 12 optical receivers in a single 2×12 MT optical interface for a total aggregate data rate of up to 336 Gbps.

SNAP12

The SNAP12 transmitter and receiver modules enable 12-channels high performance optical links designed for high-speed data communications and computing applications where very short reach bandwidth bottlenecks are incumbent. These modules are available in a 3.125 Gbps/channel version that is compliant to the SNAP12 MSA. They are also available in a 6.25 Gbps/channel version for commercial and industrial operating temperature ranges.

PPOD

The PPOD is a 12 channel pluggable optical transmitter or receiver module. All modules include Reflex Photonics’ state of the art LightABLE optical packaging technology. The PPOD transmitter and receiver modules enable high performance multi-channel optical links designed for high-speed data communications and computing applications. The module operates at up to 5 Gbps per channel in commercial temperature ranges. The interconnect distance is up to 150 m.
