Engineering

Reflex Photonics’s highly competent engineering staff offices are located in a spacious and ergonomic common area which has its own dedicated meeting room. They have access to the latest software tools to enable their design and analysis efforts to be undertaken in an efficient manner. This co-location of the engineering staff is key to enable informal communications between the different members of the team, optimizing the process that makes ideas into real and practical solutions.

Electronics and optics laboratory

Within the electronics and optics laboratory Reflex Photonics is capable of manufacturing optical sub-assemblies, electronic sub-assemblies and cable assemblies for our requirements. Our staff has diverse expertise that can be used to evaluate products as well as assemble complex test platforms for our internal uses. The laboratory is also used to perform some in-house product pre-qualification exercises as needed.

Our expertise encompasses all critical assembly activities including: wire bonding, plasma cleaning, die placement, optical alignment, and materials dispensing.

Housed in a ISO-7 (Class 10k) clean room environment we are able to perform detailed functional testing of each product. With a mix of both of-the-shelf and custom test equipment we are able to balance the testing of our varied product mix currently performing at speed of up to 14 Gbps and within commercial and industrial temperature specifications.

Each product is inspected individually before packing to ensure it meets our quality standards. Our goal is to eliminate any and all issues that could affect our customer’s satisfaction using ISO procedures that are designed to provide a rigid quality framework.
